Goals Update: March, April, and Beyond
I just realized that the last time I posted about goals was back in February. I was going to figure out a March goal, and then allergies struck.
This month, my main goal was to ditch the snooze button. I've been mostly successful. However, I did use a work-around of completely turning off and resetting my alarm a few times, adhering to the letter of the goal but not the spirit. I'm not proud of that, but it was mostly during Spring Break.
I didn't wind up setting a secondary goal for March, although I did complete my primary goal of tracking my food on My Fitness Pal. I actually found it so useful that I've kept going with it into this month. I think that I'll keep going. I'm not necessarily losing weight, but it does help me look at my macronutrient and calorie intake and analyze correlations to mood and energy levels.

Overall, I do feel better when I don't snooze for ages, which is what I tend to do when left to my own devices. I think that this is another habit that I'll continue once the month is up.
I'm not quite sure what I'd like my goal for next month to be. I think that I might want to get 8,000 or 9,000 steps a day. I can reach 7,000 easily just by walking to and from work plus assorted movement there, but getting higher than that takes intentional effort. Another thing that I'm considering is arriving at work earlier, a set amount of time before I start to teach. I'm not a morning person, so that would be fairly challenging. I have a few other ideas percolating, so I'll update in a week or so with my new goal for May.
